Privacy Policy

1. Overview
RankFelt ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service and improve your experience.
2. Data We Collect
Account information
- Email address (for authentication and essential communications)
- Username (publicly visible)
- Password (hashed and salted, never stored in plaintext)
Game data
- Match history (game type, result, placement, duration)
- ELO ratings and rank progression
- Game statistics (wins, losses, performance metrics)
Technical data
- IP address (for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention)
- Browser type and version
- Error logs and performance data (via Sentry, when configured)
Payment data
If you subscribe to Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or process your credit card number. We store only your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Authentication: To verify your identity and maintain your session
- Gameplay: To track your ratings, match history, and leaderboard position
- Fair play: To detect collusion, multi-accounting, and other violations
- Communication: To send essential account-related emails (password resets, security alerts)
- Improvement: To diagnose bugs and improve the Service
4. Data Storage & Processors
Your data is stored and processed by the following services:

5. Cookies
RankFelt uses only essential cookies required for the Service to function:
- Authentication cookies: Managed by Supabase to maintain your login session. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled without losing access to your account.
- Cookie consent preference: A small cookie to remember your consent choice.
We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
6. Public Information
The following data is publicly visible to all users (including visitors who are not logged in): your username, ELO rating, rank tier, leaderboard position, and match results. This is a core feature of the competitive platform. If you do not wish for your game statistics to be public, please do not create an account.
7. Data Retention
- Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
- Match history and ELO data are retained indefinitely to maintain leaderboard integrity.
- If you delete your account, your personal information (email, username) is removed. Anonymized match records may be retained for leaderboard consistency.
- Technical logs (IP addresses, error data) are automatically purged after 90 days.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated personal data
- Export your data in a portable format

9. Children's Privacy
RankFelt is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete the account and associated data promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the Service. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
